SAVE OUR SERVICES BY...

...WRITING TO MINISTERS ABOUT THE AIDS SUPPORT GRANT!

The AHPN in collaboration with the SHOUT LOUD team have been working to save the AIDS Support Grant (ASG).

The future of the ASG will be decided as part of the Government's Comprehensive Spending Review, the results of which will be announced on 20th October.  We are now trying to ensure that the Government commits to continuing the ASG going forward as a specific named grant.

If you would like to lend your support to our SOS campaign, please write to Ministers (Ms. Anne Milton, Mr. Paul Burstow and Mr. Danny Alexander - House of Commons,  London, SW1A 0AA) about the need to safeguard social care services for people living with HIV.   As service providers you can add a strong voice to the call to retain the Grant.

Please download the template letter attached and adapt it to suit your requirements.

AHPN would like to also work with more agencies to do more to save the ASG, and if you are interested please contact info@ahpn.org. In addition, please submit your experiences of the ASG and how it has benefited both your agency and service users.
