The African HIV Policy Network (AHPN) is a policy and campaigning organisation representing African communities affected by HIV. It brings together mostly African community-based organisations and forums, and enables Africans to speak with a collective and representative voice on HIV and sexual health issues. The AHPN acts as a strategic and policy advisory body to the Department of Health, other Government departments, local authorities, Primary Care Trusts, and private sector agencies.

 

We are looking for a dynamic, skilful, highly motivated and innovative individual to fill up the following post:


PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

We are looking for a dynamic, skilful, highly motivated and innovative team player.

Full time: 35 hours per week

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 (inclusive of ILW), plus pension, travel and support

Duration: 1 year in the first instance, with possibility of extension

AHPN is a network of community based organisations (CBOs) across the United Kingdom, focusing on influencing and informing policy as it affects Africans living with and affected by HIV. We would like you to join us in achieving our aspiration in becoming the voice of Africans in the UK regarding their well being, HIV, AIDS and Sexual Health, a positioning that will enable Africans living in the UK to play an active part in influencing services and policy, whilst creating a wider and stronger network of individuals and organisations that make a difference.

 

You will co-ordinate campaigns, oversee the delivery of activities, be involved in the monitoring and evaluation of programmes and support AHPN input into broader HIV sector development.
