Pan London African HIV Prevention Programme (PLAHPP) – HEAL Partnership

The Pan London African HIV Prevention programme is commissioned by Kensington and Chelsea PCT, with a three year funding cycle from 2008-2011. PLAHPP is delivered through the HEAL partnership (managed by the AHPN) in collaboration with the Terrence Higgins Trust. The partnership is commissioned to deliver a series of Small media and Health promotion outputs that aim to reduce the incidence of HIV infection within African communities in London

a.   Small media: development of booklet, website, audio resource

b.    Health promotion: skills development training: development of  training manual , delivery of training course , seminars and mentoring

The HEAL partners is composed of the following organisations:

a.       Youth Project International (YPI) 

b.    Embrace  UK Community Support Centre

c.     African Health for Empowerment and Development (AHEAD)

d.    South London African Women’s organisation (SLAWO) 

e.    African Cultural Promotions (ACP)

f.     Uganda AIDS Action Fund (UAAF)

This programme has developed a formal contract and service specification between AHPN and the HEAL partners, with clear deliverables that will inform the output and outcome, and the contractual relationship.
